After Hurricane Katrina:
- During the hurricane and the days after the hurricane the fatalities were thousands
- Many African American residents and poor residents in the city were stranded, some were stranded on rooftops
- Many took shelter in and around the city's Convention Center and The Super Dome
- Poor people didn't evacuate because of expenses
- Many ethnic groups were not taken care of after the storm
- President Bush signed a $60 billon dollar relief to help relieve the damage
